Back by popularity and increasing demand, International Teen Talent is returning to its roots at the 80th International General Assembly in the Summer of 2026.


With this move, International Junior Talent will relocate to Lee University beginning in the Summer of 2027. This will allow our children to still have their own dedicated moments on the stage. We are excited to continue our department’s relationship with our flagship school, which has been a world-class host to International Teen Talent since 2011.

There will not be an International Junior Talent held in 2026. Leadership tried to find a way to hold both events at the 2026 International General Assembly, but could not facilitate both because of space, staffing needs, and cost. To accommodate 12-year-olds who would have missed their last year of competition, the age of eligibility for 2027 International Junior Talent will be (7-13). After the 2027 competition, the age of eligibility for Junior Talent will return to its normal range (7-12).

Junior Talent Age Statement

For the 2027 International Junior Talent only, to accommodate 12-year-olds who would have missed their last year of competition, the age of eligibility for 2027 International Junior Talent will be 7 to 13 year olds within the calendar year (January 1 to December 31) of the Junior Talent Competition year.

After the 2027 competition, the age of eligibility for Junior Talent will return to its normal range of 7 to 12 years old within the calendar year (January 1 to December 31) of the Junior Talent Competition year.

FAQs

  • If I want to attend General Assembly business or church sessions, do I have to register to get a General Assembly pass?

    While General Assembly hosts the International Teen Talent, admission to each of these events runs independently of each other. Those who plan to attend the Teen Talent sessions only, will be able to do so free of charge. Should a Teen Talent participant and/or his or her family and friends desire to attend the General Assembly business sessions, he/she will need to register via the General Assembly website. Evening services will be available to those attending Teen Talent free of charge. More information regarding General Assembly registration will be available soon!

  • What is the refund policy?

    Junior Talent registration fees are non-refundable due to preparations required for this event based on registration numbers at the registration deadline. However, if an extenuating circumstance exists such as illness or death in family, a request for partial-refund may be submitted. The written request should be sent to jbrockman@churchofgod.org no later than August 1, 2027. The request will then be submitted for review and a decision will be made based on the circumstance..

  • What does a Multimedia presentation look like?

    During a multimedia presentation, the participant should simply use the Project Information Sheet to explain to the adjudicators how and why the project was created, while using their personal laptop or device to cast their digital project on the available screen. Following this, the adjudicators may ask questions to better understand or clarify.

  • If a participant is in the wrong category, will he/she be moved to the correct category?

    Unfortunately, participants cannot be moved to other categories at the International Competition. If you feel you are in the wrong category prior to registration, please contact your state/regional director.

  • Can my child change his/her piece after state/regional competition and before international compeition?

    Yes. So long as the general idea/theme of the piece remains the same, changes can be made to improve the piece based on the participant’s or adjudicators’ discretion/comments.

  • Does my Artwork have to be framed?

    Any flat artwork needs to be framed and hanging fixtures need to be affixed to the back for display in the Art Gallery.

  • How much is the Junior Talent T-Shirt?

    The Junior Talent T-Shirt is $20. Other commemorative merchandise products will also be sold.
